Axure Case: Make Cards with Components and Dynamic Panel

Introduction

This article is a part of course Axure Full Course: Tutorial, Tips and Templates.

In Axure 10, components (original Masters) have changed significantly, making it more consistent with other UI design tools such as Figma and sketch. By using the component views feature, the design efficiency can be improved.

Today, we will use components to make card variants and compare them with the way of using dynamic panels.

Make Cards with Components

First, import 3 cards, outlined, elevated and filled from left to right.

Then select the leftmost card and make it as components.

Double click to enter this component and select Add component views.

Then create two new views (Elevated and Filled) respectively, and inherit the first view (Outlined).

Then copy the cards to the two new views.

In this way, a new component is completed.

On the home page (the original canvas), you can switch between different views (cards). Copy 2 more cards to make 3 different cards.

Compared with the dynamic panel method, you can apply a component to different pages, and when you change the component, the components of all pages will change.

Make Cards with Dynamic panel

Make 3 cards into 3 states of dynamic panel.

Then make the dynamic panel into components.

Then, you need the break away component to change the state of the dynamic panel.

Copy 2 different dynamic panels and change the state to make 3 cards.

Conclusion

By means of components, you can quickly make variants of widgets, so as to improve efficiency.

Through the dynamic panel, you can only break up components to make variants. This is not conducive to component maintenance.

In this way, all the settings are completed. If you have any questions and suggestions, please leave a message.
